Trump on bipartisan gun solutions: ‘Open wounds cannot heal if we are divided’

President Donald Trump delivered remarks from the White House Monday, addressing the two mass shootings that occurred in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio over the weekend.

In a call for bipartisan cooperation on gun solutions, the president laid out four steps to address the matter and a proposal for the Department of Justice to instate the federal death penalty for those who carry out hate crimes.
