Wednesday is a big day for anyone celebrating the Mueller hearings — or National Tequila Day. Either way, you can start it with a drink, thanks to these Capitol Hill bars.

Hawk ‘n’ Dove

Both you and former special counsel Robert Mueller could potentially be looking at the worst Wednesday of your life, but lucky for you, overindulgence can serve as your excuse. Hawk ‘n’ Dove is opening its doors at 8:30 a.m. No funny drink names here — just bottomless mimosas and Bloody Marys for $20.

Santa Rosa

Mueller who? Since Wednesday is also National Tequila Day, this Capitol Hill taqueria is saying adios to politics with $5 classic margaritas all. day. long. The beverages start flowing at 11 a.m.

Union Pub

“Just like Mueller’s testimony: Better late than never!” reads Union Pub’s Instagram post. They won’t be opening their doors until 9 a.m., so you might have to spend the first thirty minutes of the hearing contemplating whether you even want to watch it — nothing a few $6 Moscow Muellers can’t help you decide.

Tune Inn

Over at Tune Inn, it’s just business as usual. The taxidermy-heavy hangout opens at 8 a.m. every day, Mueller hearing or no. “We’re ready for it,” an employee says.
